I wanted to see how Andy Ludwig has done since leaving the Yewts in 2008.  The only stat I focused on was average PPG and obviously there are a million other things I could have looked at but here we go. 

2009 Cal - 29.1 (48th of 120) 

2010 Cal - 25.8 (73rd of 120) 

2011 San Diego State - 29.5 (47th of 120) 

2012 San Diego State - 32.8 (36th of 124) 

2013 Wisconsin - 34.8 (27th of 125) 

2014 Wisconsin - 34.6 (29th of 128) 

2015 Vanderbilt - 15.2 (124th of 128) 

2016 Vanderbilt - 23.0 (113th of 128) 

2017 Vanderbilt - 24.6 (95th of 130) 

2018 Vanderbilt - 28.5 (71st of 130) 

A trend that I noticed is that when the dude has a good RB, his teams score a lot of points.  Each year that he is in the top 50 for offense, his backs are almost all over 1500 yards for the year.  He’s a good coordinator and 3/4 “first year OC” stats are in the top 50 for offense.  He obviously didn’t have as much success at Vandy compared to the other schools.

I wonder if the Utes will be another school where he has a lot of success in his first year as OC.
