We may see a change in overall offensive philosophy by
Whitt. Not that the play calling and scheme will change a ton but after not being able to keep coordinators around, we may see Whitt loosen the reins a little bit, allowing the O coordinator more control and flexibility.

I spoke with a Ute Booster who said Whitt told him he wants to keep Ludwig around a long time. I think he’s felt some pressure and wants to build some long term continuity with tithe Offense.

Having said that Whitt will always be a D focused coach and that will be his priority. He likes to run an offense that protects his Defense as well. I expect the O will still be run heavy, run focused, but will also try to spread you out and surprise you with a big play here and there. They will usually come up with a few plays they think will really catch you off guard. This is something they have done for a long time.

IMO we may now see a little different look as Whitt allows Ludwig to put more of his stamp on the offense.

Whatever it is Ludwig has put together will most likely be reined in a little bit in game one and focused on Moss. If BYU can slow him Down and contain Huntley’s Runs too it will go a long way towards being able to control the game. I personally would love to see BYU commit to stopping the run and dare Utah to beat them with the pass with an increased amount of some disguised blitzes.
