rated offense in the country a positive. If he turned Vandy into an offensive machine, that's something. Urban came to Utah and made them an offensive power. That was a positive hire. Bringing in an old, average OC who is fresh off a 6-7 campaign and has the 71st rated offense is not what I would consider "positive". Feels like Erickson all over again to me.
Also, his Vandy opener vs Western KY would scare me if I was a Ute fan (WKU won 14-12). And it would bother me that his BEST team is the Wisconsin team that had TWO NFL RB's (Gordon and White) and he still couldn't crack the top 25 with that offense. This isn't an elite offensive mind. This is a journeyman OC that won't last 2 seasons in Whitt's revolving door program.
