for instance I went to the Washington game and he should have thrown two TD's that would have won that game for them. One he vastly overthrew his wide open WR in the endzone, right in front of me I was sitting in the south endzone so I had a perfect view of it, and the other he rolled out and had a wide open receiver about 8 yards in front of him who would have trotted into the endzone untouched and he fired it at him like a 100 MPH fastball and the guy couldn't catch it because of that.

He also throws it poorly over about 15 yards, now Utah didn't ask him to do that much so that helped his completion percentage because he constantly overthrew receivers more than 15 yards away. Utah's offense let him complete a bunch of under 10 yard stuff, easy throws, but I never once saw him thread the needle on a closely covered receiver nor did I ever see him hit a receiver in stride on a long ball. He also seemed to struggle just a bit on "outs", throws to the sideline which tend to be long throws even though they aren't very far downfield but they are throwing a long distance across the field. And for a mobile QB he had poor touch on his "movement" throws. He would either throw them too hard for the distance required or sail them over the receivers heads.

I do know a thing or two about QB's, my son was the best HS QB in the state last year and is now an FBS scholarship QB and I coached him growing up so while I wouldn't call myself a QB guru or anything I do know more than the average guy about it, I've spent a lot of time around QB's and QB coaches, etc. I don't think Huntley is terrible, he's a decent QB, but he is far from being a top QB, he's adequate for most of what Utah does is probably how I would rate him.
