They are different from game to game. What would you call it if you wanted to get a n idea for how good a team is

generally on either side of the ball rather than just focusing on one game.

If only there were a mathematical process and term for finding the general trend of a set of data points...

Oh, there is. It’s their average.

Our defense has done better than most teams against each team but UW. O our offense has done worse than most against each team except BSU and now USU.
