I disagree. Most offenses in college football have proven unable to
consistently drive the length of the field. This is why bend but don’t break defenses are used. Unfortunately, our offense (thus our team) has shown we can’t do it either. We struggle driving the length of the field and we lack big play guys in our skill positions.

Our offense (once again team) suffers from our defensive strategy. Greg Wruebell tweeted that BYU wins 85% of the time we win the field position battle. This is HUGE. I’d like to know how this % compares to turnover margin but I think it’s gotta be close. Greg also had data for the rest of FBS and the team that had better field position won like 75% of the time.
