Sorry to hear that. It's rough. We lost our house and many of our possessions about 8 years ago. My oldest was 10.
What helped our family heal was mostly time. But we also looked for opportunities to create new, fun memories that we wouldn't have done otherwise without the accident. That's what the kids remember now is the new memories we created.
