To laugh about things. We lost most of everything. But we made a deliberate effort as a family to engage with each other, try to laugh about the situation, and be closer as a family. At the time it stunk royally, especially since I was the kid that found the fire happening. But in hindsight how my parents handled it was perfect. It taught me how to handle other setbacks with humor and without getting too bogged down in sadness.
