We've lost both family homes to fires the last decade. It's the worst.
My family home burned down in 2014 in MN. My father lost everything later in the Paradise Camp Fire in CA.
It takes years to recoup where we were. Insurance fought my family on everything. Hopefully your agent will be decent.
