Very true, and one of the more frustrating things about the situation. I don’t
firing someone in October would speed the process up much at all. And maybe waiting until the end of the season makes the job more appealing to candidates? I’d certainly want to know I’d be allowed to at least remain employed in some capacity if I experienced an unexpected change in plans in the middle of an important project or something.
