The best reason for letting coaches go early is to give potential hires a chance to evaluate their interest
in the job and get their pitch ready for an interview. It also gives the fired coaches time to job hunt as well.
When any other business fires or lays off someone. They're typically walked out of the building and have their access cut off for various reasons and it has nothing to do with their employers being 'psychopaths'.

Exactly but letting the coaches responsible for the terrible defense at least gives hope for something better. Also
