No one in any industry wants to get fired no matter the timing.
However you can bet those coaches see thing we don’t and know when players are frustrated or potentially quitting on a coach.
The overall team performance is going to affect all coaches. If the HC won’t do something because said problem coach is his best buddy, you would wonder if being there is the best thing for your career.
I think for the greater good of the team and all coaches you at times have to make a change.
Just like at normal companies you have to make a change.
Sad part about this is I don’t feel like he will make a change. It is really too bad that he is putting his relationship over the the job and what is best for the team.

Exactly but letting the coaches responsible for the terrible defense at least gives hope for something better. Also
