I don't regret the decision to leave my career one bit.
The first year was brutal. Things were moving a lot slower than I had hoped. We had moved from Washington State to Utah temporarily and were living with my in laws while the dust settled. We started to run out of money. But we also had really cool opportunities come up.
I work more than I did in my career. I actually realized my work ethic was terrible in that job and I've had to really recalibrate.
My oldest daughter wishes I was back at my old job because I was less stressed.
But I'm way more fulfilled.
Sure, our business could crash and burn in total failure and we have to liquidate everything.
But the worst case scenario is I'll have to go get a job again. I mean really, that's the WORST case scenario.
You'll never regret doing something you feel INSPIRED to do. Just make sure the decision is made with inspiration and not simply based on your logical assessment of the situation.
