Finished that stage of my life last year
Weekly travel for six years. My wife is super independent, so she did a great job in my absence. Also, my kids were all teenagers, so that made it easier.

It was hardest on me. Even running and working out every day, that kind of travel takes a heavy toll. The worst was becoming disconnected from the neighborhood, community, ward, and friends. You are just kind of there vegging on the weekends. The money was great and gave our family a leg up when kids were headed to college. I would do it all over again, but it is a sad life. Dad's sacrifice a lot for their families.
