There was nothing solo about it. Everyone was zipper merging properly until

this guy decided to straddle the middle line. Two solid lines of traffic backed up a mile. He wasn't even in the merge lane, he was in the main lane and moved halfway into the merge lane to block me. When he over-committed, the cars behind him figured he was being an idiot and passed him.
