Recency bias is real. Things were going down at the end last year.
That makes a difference.
And no one said they like it or are happy with it. But it is fairly reasonable to consider grown rational adults to expect less than the norm until proven otherwise.
If they squeak out a win against Az and win by two scores against Cal, all bets are off and we all say 10-2 is the floor. But until then, you go with the data.
