The difference is that Bronco didn't create that mess, Crowton did.
So of course going up from a previous coach is going to be seen as progress.
Now when you are the one that set the new standard of garbage, are you really showing progress by going 5-7 after a 4-9 campaign? Year to year the answer is obviously yes. As a program though you have to make that 4-9 season an aberration and not a new starting point.
