One horrible season doesn’t justify a firing, especially when the biggest problem was the offense led by a coordinator that the head coach didn’t choose (Ty was Holmoe’s hire).
So Holmoe couldn’t have said, “Kalani, the offense was hot garbage, so I’ll need to let you go.” He had to give Kalani another year, so here we are. As long as Kalani and co show good improvement, I’ll be satisfied.
