I am totally fine with them having power when they are free agents. I am not
okay with players torpedoing a franchise while under contract. I'm a free market capitalist in all things except sports. Nothing short of an act of God will even the playing field between Los Angeles and cities like SLC, Indianapolis, and New Orleans. The NBA is controlled by 30 franchises with equal control. Measures have to be taken to artificially even the playing field.
