I think you just proved our points. AD was leaving regardless, this lets them
get a pretty solid return on him instead of absolutely nothing if he just leaves in FA. I get it sucks but it really is better for the small market teams. The only thing better would be for them to be able to force guys to stay on the teams they were drafted with their entire careers.
