It seems like he allows both OC and DC too much latitude with game management.
I’m thinking of his 2017 post-game comments about “I don’t know why we didn’t throw more” or whatever.
This was a big problem with Detmer but to a lesser degree it’s continued with Grimes.
As head coach he absolutely needs to be giving feedback to his coordinators. Not micromanaging, but definitely giving direction.

He’s tried to pattern our offense after the yewts. Running, grind it out and then tough defense. We can’t be the yewts.
