Responding to each point:
(1) which makes the chance to get 7 even more valuable.
(2) half a chance to get 7 is better than a likely, not certain, chance to get 3. If you are kicking you aren’t playing the odds.
(3) and scoring 7 would have been a gut punch.
Going for it was the right call. No question.
