I feel we won that game yesterday in spite of the coaching....
I think the coaches threw in some good trick plays on the first TD, cause USC needed to get put on the heels... I think those were solid moves. However to go to that on the 4th and 1 was about as stupid as it gets. I don't have a problem going for it, I have a serious problem with the play call. It was dumb for several reasons.
I think Sitake is telling Grimes to use Jaren Hall... I think this is the "emotional fan" part of him that's asking for it...because he is used early and then not used again. It's again, just a dumb coaching decision. Your team is trying to find momentum... taking the players off the field that can help create the momentum, is just poor coaching.
The defense of watch and react is puzzling and I feel that Sitake believes it gives us our only chance... he might be right on it... but that first drive by USC was about as dominating as you can get, the turn overs, which is more of a player play than a coaching play, is what put USC on their heels offensively.
Our coaching is very average at best right now... and really nose dives at times to just awful. I think our players are out playing the coaching right now... and the coaching is holding us back.

He’s tried to pattern our offense after the yewts. Running, grind it out and then tough defense. We can’t be the yewts.
