I remember paying something like $100/month during Spring/Summer which was a steal. But I hear more apartments have moved to year-round contracts

It's the compiled rent for each apt that gets crazy. Say a student pays $450/mo & shares with 6 other people.

Right, but students didn't have any other option. They were forced into that scenario by the BYU rules.

Most areas in Provo and Orem are zoned for 3 singles and most decent houses rent

You know it. By far the best (and cheapest) complex I lived in at BYU.

I lived there a year too. But mine was 667 down next to Slab pizza so it was bigger & only had 4 people. 🙂
