...it's a learning process. We've seen flashes of what they can do coming from behind in wins over Dayton and Creighton.
We're not getting freshmen that are one and done players with NBA Talent who can come in right away and make a big difference. We're getting freshmen who are coming home from missions and need to shake off the rust or we're getting freshmen like Fouss and Atiki who were overlooked because of lack of height or they're a project.
It's just like when Kalani took over for Bronco in football. He had a great senior-laden team in 2016 and then had to start a major overhaul of the program the following year and recruit like crazy to refill the cupboards. We had several mediocre or disappointing Seasons as the young players developed, gained experience, and built chemistry. That patient process led to some good seasons. We'll get there in basketball too.
