Why would anyone compare Lowell from two-n-a-half years ago — fresh off a total Achilles rupture — to Waterman, picked up as a final-hour recruit after deals for two true interior guys fell through this last offseason?
Yes, Waterman & Lowell have similar lengths, physiques, athleticism & skillsets. Should it shock us that Pope would go after a very similar sorta guy & player only a couple years later?
