I can't tell if you are asking because you are looking to buy one, or if you just want to compare yours with the weapons of others, but if you are looking to buy a handgun that you won't be carrying, I wouldn't go any smaller than a .40, and would recommend a 45 ACP. Unless of course you want to use a shotgun, which is the best option if you don't mind storing it.
