Why is it ok to smear a high school kid?
"My opinion, slightly informed, is he has some behavorial issues. He is a 17 year old kid and will hopefully overcome them but there are reasons, good ones to BYU, as to why they are not yet offering. IMO the reasons are best defined as corporate culture. BYU is not going to offer him until it is confident he is going to live the way BYU asks and its athletes commit."

I have no idea who this kid is but why cant we take BYU not offering due to to many LB's already in the fold at face value? Do we need to trash a kid's reputation to feel better about BYU not offering him? I am sure most of you would be livid if you read this about your high school son.

"the theatrics his posse is going to in an effort to embarass BYU/bully them into offering him a scholarship"

Quote from his father
“We made a visit to BYU in December and talked to the coaching staff with the intention of committing to BYU if they had offered, but they said they were over their scholarship allotment for linebackers,” said John Gustin, Porter’s father. “That’s fine, that’s part of the process so we parted ways and now that’s not an option.”
