Read my response to the esteemed kccougar. My own timeline was not actually correct, although my participation in raising money is what got me actively involved and reading cougarboard frequently. Hence the confusion.

My moniker wasn't devised to raise money, I began to actively post here as we were raising money for Millie who passed away a couple of years ago. Previous to that I had created an account here based on my name on Utefans, Soft Jazz Coug, which at the time was a play on being the antithesis of Rocker Ute there (who I am known as there - to get further into the not so funny joke, iirc, Utah was so bad at basketball and had lost to BYU in football and I had joked that I was turning over a new leaf and changing directions completely and I was going to be a BYU fan). I originally created an account here because there were some soft-minded individuals who were questioning the morals of my niece and her parents for wearing shorts they thought were too short. My moniker at the time was a small joke on utefans that has gotten the likes of you and others up in arms. Those who frequent both boards know who I am and what I do.

To answer your question about the charity... We raised money on Utefans.net and through this site: http://meetmillie.realcove.com/ solely to help their family having difficult financial times because of medical bills. News had spread here and some generous BYU fans had donated too, so I posted here at that time and began to read and participate on occasion from that point on.

Her family has gone on to run the Millie's Princess Foundation which does essentially the same thing as a legitimate not-for-profit organization. http://milliesprincessfoundation.org/

Go donate, since we are on the subject. They are a great family who has suffered great tragedy and gone on to do great things for other people. That is intentionally a lot of greats. Something worth getting behind, for sure.

The truth is, unlike many Ute fans, I don't have a big problem with BYU. I like Dave Rose and the teams he produces quite a bit. I even like Jimmer, despite the uber weird fans that surround him. I don't care for Bronco, but I think I share the view of others here that he is a big weirdo that says strange stuff in an attempt to be a psuedo-GA.
