So sorry for your loss. I remember being associated with a similar situation
There was a young family in my ward while I was serving as Bishop. They had a small infant son who passed away after several months. It was very difficult for all of us, but especially for the parents when their son didn't make it. I remember being asked to give the eulogy. In preparation for the talk - some inspiration again came to me that I had received a couple of decades earlier while I served my mission. On my mission I had been particularly struck by a talk by Elder John H Groberg. That talk stuck with me for decades until I needed to draw from its strength and lesson.

The talk is about a little girl named Felila who had some serious health problems. The story continues about how the whole community came together and minor miracles happened to help the little girl. In the end it wasn't enough, but Elder Groberg's comments about how this little girl's situation strengthened people's faith and brought people together was very touching and instructive.

In following this situation this week - and seeing the outpouring of support and prayers - it reminds me of the situation with Felila. The BYU and Church community have come together in support of Austen's family. For those looking for additional comfort and support - I would encourage you to listen to Elder Groberg's talk. (It's even better listening to it than reading it.) It is titled "Come Home, Felila". https://www.lds.org/general-conference/1978/10/come-home-felila?lang=eng

I'm sure our Heavenly Father is also saying "Come Home, Austen"
