That's silly to compare 1969-71 to 2002-04
Crowton basically spoon fed most of Bronco's best players through 2009. The 2006 team was going to be good even if Crowton was still at the helm.
Lavell had an empty cupboard minus a couple stop gap players and no tradition to attract new recruits.
Lavell's building of the team into a powerhouse was a much greater accomplishment than anything Bronco did with Crowton's recruits.
