He's exaggerating to make a point about BYU coaching this year, somewhat in the
same vein as the Bible reciting 40 days and 40 nights, or 70 X 7 or whatever (i.e., a lot).
The take home point is that BYU coaches have done a solid job with what has happened this year. You can disregard everything else.
