trolling BYU fans a bit also. I still don't understand why so many bite and go full hater. I think he's pretty fair, and I don't think he even approaches the petty, fragile egos of so many sports talkers. It's not about Gunther. BYU fans are, and will continue to be rocked by the change in trajectory of the 2 programs. As a kid growing up in the 80's, I'd have bet my left, uhh, my left arm that U would never get anywhere near BYU's neighborhood re; success.

It's probably much harder being in Utah, so after posting I go back and realize it's probably not really fair to be bashing BYU fans from a thousand miles away, but it still doesn't change much for me. I'd say 40% of Y FB fans have crossed into full on little brother territory. Mocking Utah's P12 status, then when they make huge strides, focusing on how "lucky" they are, and the old fallback. When it's simply too embarrassing or disingenuous to bash FB success, "Your school still sucks anyway." It's a little like Mormons who play into the hands of anti's by behaving in a way that confirms everything they thought they new about Mormons, when it's not true at all. Until BYU wins a couple big bowl games, pretending like were still the program of the mid 80s is deluded and is that guy wearing a Members only jacket w/ the sleeves pulled up. Sure, it's a glorious look, undeniably, but it ain't 1984 anymore.
