BYU has traditionally late guards dictate the offense and have the green light from the moment they step on campus. This was true under Cummard until the present day. As a man who loves the art of post play, I just want to see our bigs get more involved and that is hard when Emery and company are more interested in launching. Call me ignorant, but a 5 foot jump hook is still and always be a higher percentage shot than a 25 foot 3 pointer 10 seconds into the shot clock. Because the guards have such freedom in this offense, it is up to those same guards to involve the pivot. Play inside out boys, it works. Whether we call it individualism, selfishness (not the case here, I think), or not trusting the big men...our guards need to trust in their teammates. This lack of trust may be the reason for some chemistry issues that so many claim are at issue with this team. Bright days ahead though.
