Nick Emery is a better shooting / combo guard, but TJ Haws can run a team,
and possibly Elijah Bryant from the reports - we'll see. The perceived lack of a "speedy" PG I believe is a moot point with TJ Haws coming in (he is quick), and with the overall talent at so many levels.

This is how I see it shaking out: Mika and Kaufusi at center, with possibly the tall Hamson kid situationally and Braiden Shaw interchanging at C/PF, Kyle Davis, Daystrup and Hartsock at power forward, with Yoeli Childs and Gavin Baxter at small forward, possibly Aytes if he can recover his mojo, and Connor Harding (a KC Clone with an outside shot) interchanging with SF/SG. Then, at the guard positions, Nick Emery and Connor Harding at SG, with Jake Toolson (who can possibly shoot better than Fischer) if he recovers, and finally with TJ Haws, Elijah Bryant, and Jordan Chatman, or interchangeably Emery at PG. THIS lineup makes me SMILE big, and it also makes certain coaches who wear red jackets cringe and run away - FAST.

Would one mind having an Alec Wintering or Amadi Udenyi (who both torched us) penetrating-style PG also? No, of course not, but if I had to choose between those guys and TJ Haws, I'd take Haws, hands-down - so talented and competitive. You just don't lead a team to the HS #1 ranking without both talent and mojo. Still, who ever has the perfect team - even almost all NC teams have always had at least one area where they could have been more complete - take Uconn when they won with...well, Kemba Walker. It's how they play as a team in the clutch that matters. Anyway, the BYU talent and depth at so many positions next year seems to diminish the absolute need for a Wintering-type guy, although I'm sure Rose wouldn't turn that down. Still, I love the prospects for the next few years, and would say that "glass is way more than half-full" on this one to be pining over a certain type of PG.
