...not every player will grow and develop at this level (Worthington) but Corbin came in very raw but after his first year with Pope he started to show improved footwork, a better understanding of how to play defense w/o drawing fouls, started to develop an offensive game, etc. Even though his offensive efforts were inconsistent (still raw and developing) he became a very solid rim protector and force in the middle by the end of his freshman year.
Remember him in the wins over St Marys (22 pt win in the MC) or the win to close the season at Gonzaga? He was a defensive monster in the middle (blocked 4 shots vs St Mary's including several at the rim on Brad Waldow and 3 vs Gonzaga's bigs).
