We were really, really close on a lot of plays of getting to the QB this year... maybe a half-step from getting counted as a hurry or even getting a sack.

But we played some very good QBs this year, that were either really good at making reads, very mobile and/or nifty in the pocket, were in an offense designed to get rid of the ball quick, just heady, or some combination of those qualities... I'd say noticeably more-so than previous years.

I think our pass-rush D was actually better than the stats indicate... but yeah, we played some really good QBs with offenses that were designed to protect the QB or roll him out, and get the ball out of his hands on time. Not making excuses, just an observation.
