using the committee tiebreaker of head-to-head, then Clemson is the best team
That is a funny point to argue that Alabama still has a better resume than Clemson, even with the loss.
I think that is incorrect though. Their metrics and schedule strength are even enough that they ought to resort to head-to-head. Clemson won the head-to-head, so their overall resume is better.
Maybe if Clemson had 2 losses and Alabama only had 1 then your argument would hold.
Nevertheless, that is a clever point you make.
I am assuming you thought Penn St. should have been in the final 4 instead of Ohio St.
I enjoy college football which has a meaningful regular season even if the post-season is not as good as for college basketball. For college basketball the regular season and non-conference season are rather unexciting.
