I disagree
You called it a normal close out, but in my opinion he was much more concerned about getting into Kawhi's legs than he was contesting the shot.. He gave a half hearted effort at raising his hand, yet stretched his approach step and took two unnecessary steps when he didn't need to.

I think it can be unintentional, and still dirty. Did he know Leonard would get hurt? No. Still a dirty play? I think so

He said that play almost never happens even though a nearly identical setup happens. Meaning Zaza did something more.
