I think you're misunderstanding the comment
The nearly identical play is a defender closing out on a fade away jump shot. What almost never happens is the defenders foot in the shooter's landing zone. The inference is that it wasn't a typical close out by the defender.

I think it can be unintentional, and still dirty. Did he know Leonard would get hurt? No. Still a dirty play? I think so

He said that play almost never happens even though a nearly identical setup happens. Meaning Zaza did something more.
