I lived normally my first 30 or so years with pretty much deafness in my right ear and normal hearing in my left. Started getting tinnitus in my left ear around 2009, have gradually been losing hearing in my 'good' ear since then. As far as music goes, I really miss enjoying music like I used to, but it's been a few years since I've been able to anyway. If I could just understand speech in normal situations and maybe at the movies it would be a dramatic improvement in my life.
