The advantage I see with the pac12 is that if everyone stops at 16
They can offer 4 schools out of the big12. Therefore UT and OU wouldn't be on such an island if there are more nearby schools. Also, I think the PAC 12 will go hard after UT and OU because there aren't any other schools that they could realistically invite that would increase their value.
