The o-line has not been the strength of the program from almost 2 decades now. Plus defensive lines and schemes have changed and good feet are better than big bodies. Add to that the fact that it's tough for college lineman to learn to be effective in pass blocking and run blocking. You have to make tradeoffs.

I just think given the limited size of BYU's recruiting pool, it's a little bit like high school where you have to show adaptability and the ability to scheme based on personnel on the roster.

As for the subtle Taysom jab, I don't have the data in front of me, but I remember being frustrated that he didn't tuck and run more. Receivers were rarely open, and he often sat in the pocket getting though his progression and took a sack vs. using his legs to make a play.
