I think that Tanner's performance is 2015 is grossly underappreciated. I think you are right Lip, that some of it stems from deep held reverence for Hill as an athlete.

This year I really hope to see Squally and Co. catching a lot more balls out of the backfield. That was a staple of some very good BYU teams. Curtis Brown and John Beck had great chemistry that way and the results were great. Whether MLP or Bushman can become the kind of tight end threat we are hoping for remains to be seen, but they raw material seems good.

I like the combination of elements that are coming together this year and also agree that 8 wins is a reasonable baseline. The question of injuries will always plague us because we are still not very deep when it comes to talent, but barring injury to Tanner I think the offense has enough tools to compensate.

I think the offense deserves cautious optimism....will they come out and drop 42 on LSU, probably not, but can they be the difference between losing to Utah and finally beating Utah...I think so.
