Evidence is the mounting frustration with the current deal
Can USC continue to compete with Ohio State if Ohio State is making $20M more a year? USC will not let the remainder of the members in the PAC 12 dictate its ability to continue to compete with all the big boys.

What is more, the PAC 12 in its current structure has no ability to make higher demands on payment because they play their games so late with time zone changes, etc... They are essentially a regional conference, big time, but regional. The only way for the PAC 12 to demand more is to be more, and the only way they can be more is to add more big names to the league.

The issue is, the PAC 12 TV rights come up before the Big 12, so why risk bringing on an Oklahoma and a contract fight in 2023, when you could ditch the deadweight in the PAC 12, join a new conference in 2023, and form the super conference?
