We had a neighbor with serious mental issues. We tried to help out by allowing him to help with yard work and such. He became more violent as time went on and we had to distance ourselves for our children's safety. When he committed suicide last year we were grateful that he didn't take another life. He had been receiving treatment the whole time but the pain of his dads death couldn't be medicated.
