We struggled to get him the ball, especially early, and when we did he missed a few. I think Haws is trying to do exactly what you suggested--but he needs to make that shot when he gets it, and his teammates need to look for it more (which will happen if he shoots a high percentage and coaches make it a priority in practice.) My worry is that his confidence is fragile at this point and when his teammates choose other options than him and/or he doesn't deliver on an open corner, it makes him pull back farther away from getting offensively involved.
I actually like him with the ball in his hands more. When he is creating, I think our ceiling is higher, even if he is not the best creator on the floor wearing our colors.
