Worthington's strong leadership to go along with what the excellent work you talk about regarding the coaching staff fixing the offense, focusing on defense, and improving accountability. But players had to buy into it and they know it is in their interests to do so and to win. These factors taken together are all reasons why the team is improved over last year.
That Bryant, Childs, and all the guys are really hungry this year is a major reason why i remain optimistic for a very good season.
Obviously, with Emery the team would be much stronger.
I refuse to join in the meaningless discussion of Mika's departure except that he was one of BYU's best 7 or 8 bigs of all time.
Whether or not BYU becomes stronger next year is not so clear to me. If Childs, Bryant, and TJ return hungry, then it's a slam dunk they will be improved with the addition of Emery and Baxter.
