See JJ Redick. JJ just had better phsycial measurables coming out of college, but a lot of the same knocks were there (not athletic enough, can’t play def, etc) and he was a lotto pick.

That year most draftniks were shocked Jimmer got drafted so highly as he was a borderline lotto pick. All it takes is one team to like you.

But agree with overarching team, talent rules, you can play on any college team and if you have true NBA talent, they will find you.
