As someone who advertises on YouTube, it doesn’t seem to make sense

Less places to advertise means more competition for me. Yeah, maybe YT can charge more but they have less chances to charge, so doesn’t make sense to me.

I mean, they must be doing it to increase revenue but I’m interested to see how...

1000 subs is pretty low. Mid-tier channels are in the 100,000+ range.
